Safina Shahid is a qualified Chartered Accountant from Pakistan, Certified Internal Auditor from IIA, USA, Certified Islamic Professional Accountant and Certified Shariah Advisor and Auditor from AAOIFI, Bahrain.
She is an experienced senior management level professional with experience in governance, risk and compliance processes operationally as well as through internal audits. Currently, she is working at senior executive level in the automotive manufacturing sector. Previously, she has a demonstrated history of working in the banking industry specifically in Islamic/Shariah audits and advisory roles. She is competently skilled in Internal Shariah Audit, Islamic Banking Advisory, External Shariah Audit of Islamic Financial Services including banks, mutual funds and Takaful, Internal Audit and COSO/SOX implementation. Her experiences include Meezan Bank Limited (largest Islamic Bank in Pakistan), Habib Bank Limited (largest local bank in Pakistan), Standard Chartered Bank (largest international bank in Pakistan) and Ernst & Young (the pioneer CA firm of Islamic Financial Advisory and Audits in Pakistan).
She has also been associated with AAOIFI as their Master Trainer and has conducted various webinars through the platform of AAOIFI on Shariah Governance Framework and Shariah Auditing Standards issued by AAOIFI. She is a skilled trainer and presenter with a good feedback from all those who have attended sessions with her.
